Stress-Free Family & Dog Photography

It’s easy to think you’ll book that photoshoot “soon”… until life gets busy. Puppies grow up in a blur, older dogs slow down quietly, and the little expressions you love most change before you realise. Many Market Harborough dog owners tell us they’ve waited because they wanted something that felt considered and worthwhile, not a quick photoshoot that didn’t do their dog justice.
At John Jenkins Photography, we create timeless dog portraits that capture your dog’s personality, from playful grins to calm, soulful moments and turn them into beautiful wall art for your home. For a lot of families around Market Harborough, the end result matters just as much as the experience, especially when the portraits are going to live on their walls every day. If you’re based in Market Harborough, Great Bowden, Little Bowden, or Lubenham, our calm indoor studio in nearby Lutterworth is an easy, straightforward drive.
The studio is private, quiet, and designed to help dogs feel relaxed and secure. With patience and gentle guidance, we allow your dog to settle naturally so we can capture portraits that truly reflect who they are.
📍 Market Harborough dog photographer John Jenkins Photography is based in a cosy indoor studio in Lutterworth – just a few miles from Market Harborough town centre and an easy drive from Great Bowden, Little Bowden and the villages along the A4304.
We had a fantastic experience with John at John Jenkins Photography. From start to finish, he made the whole photoshoot feel relaxed, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable. John was brilliant with our puppy, Nala, showing plenty of patience and understanding, which made a huge difference and put us all at ease.

And if you’re not sure what to wear, when to book, or whether your dog will cooperate (they might not, and that’s okay)—we’ll talk through it all. This is your session, not ours. Have a look at our guide ‘How to Prepare Your Dog for a Photo Shoot‘. Or give us a call to go over your ideas.
We recently won a competition with John Jenkins Photography and had a wonderful experience whilst there. John himself was not only great with us, but also our dog, Maxy… the kind of dog that you instantly regret taking out in public!

Seeing the photos for the first time was amazing. John captured our dog’s personality perfectly and we honestly struggled to choose because we loved so many of them. The viewing session was relaxed and enjoyable, with no pressure at all.

Dogs change quickly, especially in the early years. One minute they’re all paws and mischief, the next they’ve grown into themselves. And if you share life with an older dog, you know how precious those quieter, gentle seasons become.
The sooner you create your dog portraits, the sooner you can enjoy them as beautiful wall art in your home. Seeing your dog’s face on the wall, not lost in your camera roll, brings a smile every single day and turns ordinary moments into something you’ll treasure for years.
Our studio sessions are deliberately limited so every dog gets the time, calm attention, and patience they need. If you’ve been thinking about booking “one day”, this is your sign to do it while this chapter still feels like now and turn today’s memories into wall art you’ll love for a lifetime.
