A studio photoshoot is £99 and includes the photography session itself. We have a special offer at the moment where you can get a photoshoot and a framed 7″x5″ print for £45 (normal price £175). It is fair to say though, that many people fall in love with the images we take and the average spend is between £390 to £650 with some clients spending much more. Just to give you fair warning, you will fall in love with the images John creates.
From time to time, we do offer special promotions on studio photoshoots and framed photographs, often around key times of the year such as Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Availability and details can vary, so the best way to find out about any current offers is to get in touch directly or keep an eye on the website and our social media channels. This ensures you’re seeing the most up-to-date information.
Many clients from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry choose to book when a promotion is available, while others book at a time that suits their family best — either way, every photoshoot receives the same care, time and attention.

We recommend booking your photoshoot as early as you can, especially if you’re hoping for a specific time of year or are planning the session around a birthday, celebration or gift.
Studio sessions are deliberately limited so every family receives the time and attention they deserve. Availability can fill up more quickly during busier periods such as school holidays, Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
If you have a particular date in mind, it’s always worth getting in touch sooner rather than later. That said, we’re happy to advise on availability and help you find a session that works for you whenever you enquire.
A typical photoshoot lasts up to one hour, allowing plenty of time for everyone to relax and settle into the session.
We work at a comfortable, unhurried pace, which is especially important when photographing children and dogs. This flexibility helps us capture natural expressions and genuine moments without rushing or pressure.
After your photoshoot, you’ll be invited back for a separate cinematic viewing appointment, where you can see your finished images and choose how you’d like to enjoy them in your home.
Families travel to the studio from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, knowing their session will be calm, well-paced and tailored to them.
After your photoshoot, you’ll be invited back to the studio for a separate cinematic viewing appointment.
During this relaxed appointment, you’ll see your finished photographs presented on the big screen, allowing you to enjoy the images properly and choose your favourites without distraction or pressure. We’ll guide you through the different options available, from individual images to wall art designed for your home.
There’s no need to decide anything on the day of the photoshoot itself. The viewing appointment gives you time to see how the images look and imagine how they’ll be enjoyed every day, whether as framed wall art or other printed pieces.
Clients visit us from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, knowing the process is clear, relaxed and designed to help them choose images they’ll treasure long after the session.

Our professional photo portrait studio is located in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, around one mile from junction 21 of the M1 and the A5.
The studio is easy to reach from Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, making it a convenient choice for families and dog owners across the area. There is parking directly outside, and the studio is a modern, comfortable space designed specifically for family and dog photography.
The calm, indoor studio environment allows us to control lighting and backgrounds, creating timeless portraits without the unpredictability of outdoor sessions — ideal for children, dogs and multi-generation families.
Our studio is located on the first floor and is accessed via one main flight of stairs, along with two short flights of three steps each. Unfortunately, the stairway is not wide enough for wheelchair access, and we’re unable to carry wheelchairs upstairs.
That said, many grandparents and family members who are comfortable using stairs do attend photoshoots with us. Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, with seating available throughout the studio so people can sit and rest whenever needed.
If you have any concerns about access or mobility, we strongly recommend getting in touch before booking. We’re always happy to talk things through honestly and help you decide whether the studio will be suitable for your family.
Family photoshoots are designed to be flexible, and we regularly photograph immediate families, grandparents and extended family members together.
The studio is most comfortable photographing up to around 9 adults, plus 2–3 children at any one time. This allows everyone to be photographed properly, comfortably and without feeling crowded, while maintaining the calm atmosphere that helps sessions run smoothly.
During the photoshoot, we’ll create a variety of groupings — from the full family together to smaller family combinations — so you have a beautiful range of images to choose from afterwards.
If you’re planning a larger family photoshoot, just let us know when booking. We’re always happy to talk through the best way to plan the session so everyone is included and enjoys the experience.
Yes — grandparents are very welcome and are included in family photoshoots regularly.
Multi-generation portraits are a wonderful way to capture family connections across generations, and we’re happy to photograph grandparents as part of the full family, with their children and grandchildren, as well as in smaller groupings or individual combinations if you’d like.
The studio is designed to be calm, comfortable and accessible, making it suitable for all ages. We take a relaxed, unhurried approach so everyone feels at ease, whether you’re visiting us from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough or Coventry.
If you’re planning to include grandparents, just let us know when booking so we can allow plenty of time to create a beautiful and meaningful set of images for your family.
Yes — absolutely. Many families choose to include their dog in their photoshoot, and we specialise in photographing families with their dogs.
Dogs are very much part of the family, and we take a calm, patient approach to help them feel relaxed in the studio. Sessions are unhurried and tailored to your dog’s personality, whether they’re playful, energetic or a little more reserved.
We’ll photograph a mix of images, including your whole family together, smaller family groupings, and portraits of your dog on their own if you’d like. This flexible approach allows us to capture genuine expressions and natural connections, without pressure.
Clients regularly visit us from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry for family and dog photos, knowing their dog will be welcomed and treated with care throughout the session.
Yes. Our studio is specifically designed to be calm, comfortable and distraction-free, making it well suited for nervous dogs, young children and first-time visitors.
Sessions are unhurried and flexible, allowing time for children to settle and dogs to relax at their own pace. We work patiently and adapt the session to suit individual personalities, whether that means taking short breaks, changing the order of photographs, or allowing time for reassurance.
The indoor studio environment gives us full control over lighting and backgrounds, helping to avoid the unpredictability that can sometimes make children or dogs feel overwhelmed. This calm approach allows natural expressions and genuine connections to come through.
Families visit us from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, knowing their children and dogs will be treated with care, understanding and patience throughout the experience.
Our studio sessions are designed to be calm, patient and flexible, with your dog’s comfort always coming first.
The indoor studio is quiet and distraction-free, which helps dogs settle more quickly than in busy outdoor locations. Each photoshoot is tailored to your dog’s temperament, whether they’re lively, curious, nervous or more laid-back.
We work at your dog’s pace, using positive reinforcement, patience and regular breaks when needed. There’s no rushing, and no expectation for dogs to behave in a certain way — this relaxed approach allows their natural personality to come through.
Many dog owners travel to us from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, knowing their dog will be treated with care and understanding throughout the session.
Yes — we photograph dogs on their own, as well as with their family.
At the start of every dog photoshoot, we ask owners to be involved in the first few photographs. This helps dogs feel settled and secure in the studio, as they’re far more relaxed when they’re close to the people they trust most. Once your dog is comfortable, we can then move on to individual portraits if that’s what you’d like.
Some clients tell us they don’t usually enjoy being in photographs. John often reassures them by saying,
“We are the only people in the whole world who will ever see these photos of you — unless, of course, you love them.”
In reality, many people are pleasantly surprised by how natural and relaxed they look, even if the original aim was simply to photograph their dog.
This gentle, unpressured approach helps create a calm experience for your dog and allows us to capture natural expressions and personality-led portraits once they’ve settled into the session.
That’s completely normal — and it’s something we expect, not a problem.
Dogs don’t need to sit perfectly or behave in a certain way during their photoshoot. Sessions are relaxed and flexible, and we work at your dog’s pace rather than trying to force a particular pose or behaviour.
If your dog is energetic, curious or easily distracted, we adapt the session to suit them, allowing time to explore the studio, take short breaks, and settle naturally. For more nervous dogs, we keep things calm and unhurried, building confidence gradually.
This patient approach allows us to capture natural expressions and genuine character, rather than stiff or forced images. Many dog owners are surprised by how well their dog settles once they realise there’s no pressure.
Families travel to the studio from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, knowing their dog will be photographed with understanding, patience and care.
The most important thing is to wear outfits that feel comfortable and natural, so you can relax and enjoy the experience together. When everyone feels good in what they’re wearing, it shows in the photographs.
We recommend coordinating colours rather than matching exactly. Soft, neutral tones such as creams, greys, blues, soft greens and earthy colours photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on connection rather than clothing. Try to avoid large logos, strong patterns or very bright colours, as these can distract from faces and expressions.
Different clothing styles work better on different backgrounds. During your photoshoot, we usually photograph against both light and darker backgrounds, which gives you a lovely mix of styles in your final images. Light clothing often works well on light backgrounds, while darker outfits suit darker backgrounds.
If your photoshoot includes children or dogs, choose clothes you can move in easily. Layers, textures and simple accessories can add interest without overpowering the image.
If you’re unsure, we’re always happy to help — once you’ve booked, we can offer personalised guidance so your family photos feel timeless and true to you.
Choose clothing that feels comfortable, relaxed and easy to move in, so you can interact naturally with your children or pets during the photoshoot.
We photograph in bare or stockinged feet only, which helps create a clean, timeless look and keeps the studio space comfortable for everyone — especially children and dogs. Plain socks or tights work perfectly, and we recommend avoiding bold patterns where possible.
Soft, coordinated colours photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on faces and connection. Neutral and muted tones tend to work especially well, while large logos, busy patterns or very bright colours can distract from expressions and emotion.
If your photoshoot includes children or dogs, choose outfits you’re happy to sit, kneel or cuddle in. Layers and textured fabrics can add interest without overpowering the image. Most importantly, wear something that feels like you — when everyone is comfortable, the photographs naturally feel more genuine and relaxed.
There’s very little you need to bring with you — we’ll guide you through everything on the day.
If your photoshoot includes a dog, it’s helpful to bring a few familiar items such as treats, a favourite toy, or a lead, as these can help your dog feel comfortable and settled in the studio.
For children, you may wish to bring a small snack or drink for after the session, just in case they need a quick break.
We photograph in bare or stockinged feet only, so there’s no need to bring footwear. Other than that, simply arrive ready to relax and enjoy the experience — the session is designed to be calm, unhurried and enjoyable for everyone.
Families visit us from Lutterworth, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coventry, knowing the studio experience is well planned and easy from start to finish.
Yes — you’re very welcome to bring special interest or hobby items to your photoshoot.
Many families choose to include meaningful items such as a football and team strip, a musical instrument, a ballet outfit, a favourite ride-on toy, or something linked to a child’s hobby or passion. These personal touches can add extra meaning to your photographs and help tell your family’s story at this stage of life.
We recommend keeping items simple and meaningful, rather than bringing lots of props. One or two carefully chosen items usually works best and helps keep the focus on expression and connection, rather than the object itself.
If you’re thinking of including something special, just let us know when booking. We’re always happy to advise on what will photograph well and how best to include it naturally within your session.
